Abstract:
Reducing cooling tower water blowdown volume is an important objective at many process plants, yet inadequate blowdown can lead to excessive scale and corrosion within the process equipment. One process water treatment system for cooling towers, developed by Universal Environmental Technologies, allows for continuous halogenation and higher cycle rates that traditional treatment methods. Dynamic Water Technologies, in partnership with Universal Environmental Technologies, has been applying this process water treatment system to cooling towers around the world.
Using the UET process, processors are able to save significant amounts of blowdown water while improving scale control and reducing bio contamination. Application include manufacturing operations, food processing and production, data centers, government sites, high-rise buildings and many others.
During this webinar, you will learn how the UET process provides:
- Higher cycle operations — and the associated water savings.
- Continuous halogenation, and why this is better.
- Reduction in water treatment chemical use.
The webinar also will describe various applications of the UET technology as well as a brief case history describing how it helped one healthcare facility saving 74 percent cooling tower blowdown water. Can't attend live? Register to view the webinar on-demand!
Speakers
Michael C. Boyko Principal Dynamic Water Technologies Since 1991, I’ve been working with pollution control technologies for the power, mining and industrial manufacturing sectors, and servicing clients in the Western US. I have expertise in pollution control systems, bulk material handling, power generation, hard rock mining, custom metal fabrication and process equipment. I have served on the board of several public companies in these arenas and consulted regularly with power, manufacturing and mining groups around the world.
My passion has long been the conservation of water. I am very sustainability oriented in most regards, and very focused on clean, sustainable technologies for saving water.
Four years ago, I was searching for a technology for one of my clients with very specific requirements and significant technical challenges. My search led me to UET, an electrochemical invention that could treat process water as is used in the cooling towers in large commercial, residential and industrial structures. I did significant diligence into the efficacy of the technology. The UET system did everything they claimed and more! So much so, that I formed a company with a financial partner to acquire the rights to the UET technology in North America. DWT is located in Scottsdale AZ.
Thus far, we have had great success with installations, coast to coast, saving millions of gallons of water for marquee clients like NASA, Roche Pharmaceuticals, Banner Health, Dignity Health and Los Angeles City hall.
